What Is Linux
Linux is free based on Unix, an operating system developed by Dennis Ritche and Ken Thompson in Bell Laboratory in 1969. Unix was built from a system generation called Multics. Unix is a multi tasking and multi-user operating system. This means Unix can run several programs at the same time.
